Hi all, just bought an insurance for my MK2 - price £320 - im 27 , 8 years driving licence , 0 ncb as my 5 years are used on another car ... I think is a good price :-)
Ive paid less with 0ncb for track cars with some serious modifications on limited mielage policies. I dont think 320 is actually that good for a driver personally. Is it a classic policy?
i assumed he was talking about a main car policy doh! for classic it is expensive, mine is 130 odd for the year
I tried sureterm, quote half way through when he asked if I may do track days. I said yes i might and thats when he said he could not go any further with the quote. I asked why and he said they will not insure anything that goes on a track. I asked to him to counter that argument by me saying I may or may not go on track - heck I do not even own the car yet so who knows if I will get the time and money to attend an odd track day. Secondly I said from the outset I wanted cover for the road and nothing to do with the track. I must say the guy on the phone remained professional but never ever had that problem before on any of my cars or previous insurers!
