Mk2 Driver Exhaust Rear Clip Mount Replacement or Repair?

    Hello,

    Apologies if this is in the wrong forum section.

    I recently noticed the exhaust bracket on my 1991 mk2 Golf 1.6 Driver has either come loose or broken.

    Please see the images below.

    Unfortunately I couldn't get underneath the car safely to have a close look so I don't really understand how it fits back together.

    Does anyone know what part this is and if I just need to replace it or if something else has broken that needs repair?

    I really appreciate the help.

    That should be welded to the exhaust. Know anyone with a welder? 5 minute job, or a local friendly exhaust place or even a garage.

    I thought it bolted to the floor pan

    No because if you look at picture one you can see the rubber in the middle so this one is from the exhaust, as above, just needs welding back.

    I was on about the VW Heratige item. The rusty item picture above clearly needs welding back on.
