Hello all. I probably bought one of the last MK2 fuel tank sender seals available a while back and it will be a problem for many in the future to get hold of them. I was servicing a Truimph at work today and looking at the oil filter, took the seal out of the old one and brought it home. This is basically a square (oblong really) O ring. A tight fit on the sender assy and flipped 90 degrees from it's normal position (in the oil filter) it fits perfectly around the sender top. I have fitted it and snugged it up tight with the top ring and it looks a very good fit!. A Suzuki oik filter is slightly larger, I may bring one of those home to try too. Need to seal it all up so I can pressure test. I'm also sure there is an Aprilia / Piaggio group top hat seal that may fit, will have a look into that.
