I'm trying to fix my reversing lights, as I am tired of sticking on the rear fogs to try and see where I'm going. I think my 85 mk2 switch might be different from the later golfs, as my reverse light is in the l shaped switch on top of the gearbox. I shorted it and the circuit works so it must be the switch. Does anybody know what part number this is? I've tried looking in the scrappies, but they don't have the same switch. Do GSF sell these?
If you've got the earlier black plastic switch then the VAG part number should be 191919823. I'm assuming you have the fuel consumption indicator and gearshift light on the dash board? As far as I know you can only get these from VW, but it wouldn't hurt to call GSF. Edited by: harry_the_cake
