Exhaust? Do you want a standard one that goes into the downpipe or a 4-2-1/4-1?

Can you just confirm you want this posted in the traders sections also, before I do a tidy up.

    There's 3 identical threads.

They are rare and demand is low. TSR once had a 1300 Mk1 Golf 4-branch, but that was in 2000.

If I were looking, I'm fairly sure I'd end up looking around Germany, if the UK tuners were unable to come up with something.

The mk2 has it's manifold going over the top of the subframe, the mk1 Golf and Polo mk1-3 don't have subframes, so you are going to have to modify something.

I'd be careful with a polo manifold on a golf, heard of a fair few that didn't fit. If it's just a little short then you'll need a flexijoint to link it to the current system.

For the hassle involved, you may want to consider a G40 manifold and downpipe. The point at which the pipes join into a single tube is further forward than on the full 4-2-1 so may give you an easier solution.

On the Polo, the G40 manifold and downpipe are seen as a poors mans alternative to a 4-2-1 like the Ashley or Raceland. The manifold is 4-2 and the downpipe does the 2-1. Your golf just goes straight into one at the downpipe so it should be a fair inprovement over what you have now. I have the Polo GT items on my mk1, mated to a GTi system as the bore matches. Have a look at the 2 pages, Polo and mk2 Golf. So you could do something similar using the 1.8 system from the Golf with the G40 (PY) manifold and downpipe. You would need to remove the cat from the Polo downpipe and bridge the gap from the downpipe to the system, but you would need to do that with the 4-2-1 manifold anyway.

honestly for power gains and what it might do there is no point. give the engine a good service, fettle with the settings to get it running sweet. no point spending money on a 1.3 exhaust
