Ah cool cheers so going to get a coil and new exhaust (aparently the baffles might be blocking the exhaust causing some restriction) and see how it goes! Thanks for your help mate!
get a gti system and a 1.8 carby downpipe, then thats 1 less thing to swap when you come to put a gti engine in, unless you wanna 16v!
Ooo no im not going to bother with a swap lol just going to save up and buy a Gti i think Im only 17 (18 on monday) so dont have the knowledge or tools to do a swap really My mk2 cost me 300 and ive spent about 700 in total on parts that I need and loads that I dont (needed a battery, have done 2 services myself, tyres etc...) The bodywork is nowhere near perfect. There is only 2 small patches or rust but the left hand side is slightly dented/rippled and there are quite a few key marks Started out looking like this back in october: And now looks like this (only fitted the grill today and unsure if i like it yet lol)
Really strange today. Been out for a little while and other than the idle revs keep dropping every now and then its been really good today. Its been the best it has for ages
