Hi Looking at fitting the early console, pic below of the parts I'm looking at (not my pic) Issue is I'd like to retain a cigarette lighter so am looking at fitting the early ashtray which sits in the central vent area and has the built in cigarette lighter. My car is a 1990 CL so has the oe traditional larger centre console seen in GTI's. 1. Will these parts work with my carpet? 2. Does the ashtray just bolt in or do I need to remove any ducting? 3. Is is easy to move the cigarette lighter to the dash location or do i need to do any cutting etc? 4. Does the vertical cover piece bolt in to the existing holes in the dash ? thanks Pete
