As far as I remember it should have been a Panasonic or a Blaupunkt. I have an original 85 instruction manual for my cars Stereo. I'll check out the model ref. tonight.
Be interesting to see your restored car m8 :)

I've still got the original pull out stereo for mine in the garage. I'll dig it out and get some pics if you want?

Just went into my garage and the shelves have collapsed. The stereo was sat on the top of the mayhem unscathed, so I took some pics anyway:

Ive got an old blaunkpant one sitting in my car, dont know if its an early one though. i looked on ebay to see if it was "rare" and was worth alot, but didnt seem to be worth much, but then doubt those where the original models in the mk2's

    Hi Guys

    Thanks for the quick response.

It looks like ive got a hell of a job to do.

I think im going to take the info and try my luck in some speacialist breakers near where i live, just in case theres one in the back of a store room somewhere.

Plus keep searching ebay and google.

    You never know.

P.S. ill try and get some pictures sorted over the next weekend.
