My GTI has central locking with the alarm so if i flush my tailgate would the central locking valve remain in the tailgate and work as normal as well as having a solenoid to open the boot??????
there is obviously no point in that as you will be using a solenoid. I would imagine you disconnect thecentral locking mech to the boot as you dont want the solenoid activated everytime you unlock the car! Edited by: CabrioRags
The central locking only locks and unlocks dude, the solenoid pops the catch, so is operated by either an individual circuit on the alarm or a switch inside the car. So u can keep the locking pump active
