You've definitely saved a car others would have scrapped. Well done.

Great progress as usual! Really getting there now. How do you find the butt weld clamps out of interest?

Thanks BISSONE. They are pretty good. Hold it in place well and keeps the two pieces quite level.

Really impressive! And definitely made the right choice with the BH stuff. I saw a few posts ago you mentioned about the digital clocks. There's a guy on FB as mentioned that's doing a retrofit kit for Tiguan 2 clocks into a MK2 in conjunction with van der veer engineering (the haldex guy). Was estimated at around £1700 last time I checked which is mad.

Having been looking in to this for a bit now. Would love to fit the virtual dash out of my s5 but thinking I’m asking for trouble would look good though [:D]

I've seen a couple of used dashes up for sale fairly cheap so I'm going to have a play when I've got my build done. Getting them to display information shouldn't be too bad its the component protection that I'm unsure of. And the fact the Odometer can only be increased if you're bothered about that.

so a bit more done and boy that's cold out there at the moment in a tent. Looking like the tuff bit is over now. Only problem had was fit the passengers seal. The pressing was so deep i could not get it to match any body line. I had ordered it from over the pond as heritage did not have none at the time .so heritage had them in again so on its way now. On another not some more new parts turned up.
Also and ideas on what to put on the underneath i was going to put mipa protector bit like raptor but am thinking of something that looks like the original
