I spotted this for sale on Ebay a few months ago. It really caught my eye as ive never seen a mk2 modified like this before. I thinks its well good( the way its been converted) would probably look Good in a different colour tho!!!!!!

Has anyone seen it driving about anywhere or know who owns it. I haven't seen it at any shows yet! I bet its well quick!!!!

Why should it be any faster than any other 16v Golf? All the necessary reinforcements and nasty chequerplate would weigh about as much as the roof did...

There was a thread on here when it was on eBay, it may even be in 'The Rubbish cars on eBay sticky thread' :)

Alright mate, i was only saying!

Just thought it might be a little quicker, seen as half the roofs gone, all the back windows, rear seats plus half the tailgate is gone. That Nasty Chequerplate is as light as f*u*c*k anyway. Its gotta be a little lighter than a standard MK2 surley.

It does look quite s*h*i*t in that yellow colour tho, but i had to post it on here as ive never seen one modded like that before.

so do you like it or not?? im confused...[:s] [:s] [:s]

personally in a dark colour without the chequer plate I would love it, a lot more than a mk1 cabby anyway

I meant to say it "looks" s*h*i*t in that yellow. Sorry mate... That yellow, i hate it, it definately makes it look like a Skoda pickup lol!!!

If it was mine, i'd have a set off BBS's splits on there and have to whole car black(like you said), without the Chequerplate. .

    And i hate them rims....:thumbd:

would have been so much better if based off a jetta, or at least a 5 door golf the front door is just way too big

looks sh*te! and if it was done properly with good reinforcing id imagine that it weighs more than a std 3dr mk2, theres quite a few novas with the same thing done so it just reminds me of them. Agree with rubjonny if it had been done with a jetta it would look good and might have some practical use.
