think i need a new lift pump and strainer. previously bought a lift pump from vw heritage but old strainer didnt fit on it. so now i think i'll have to get it from VW unless anyone knows where i can get both from? part number helpful if anyones got it to hand please?
the pump and strainer are separate parts the later 19mm strainer is p/n 357 906 098 that fits pump 357 906 092C early 15mm strainer is 191 906 098H that fits pump 191 906 092AD

Yes the vw heritage pump came with strainer but it was round iirc and got in the way of the float arm i think so never fitted it. the original strainer was an oblong shape, mustn't have been a straight swap onto the vw heritage pump or i'd have fitted it (a year or so ago now). i think i may have the old strainer at the folks but not sure. the VW parts and info on 2 different types will help get this sorted. thank you.
