Mk2 pictures

Hi everyone i need serious help . I'm stuck on what wheels to get for my mk2 golf gti. I had purchased a set of 16" Lenso rs5's, but i didn't like them when they arrived, thankfully my mate took them back. I've been surfing the net and looking through magazines for almost two weeks and i'm no closer to choosing a set. Theres also the question of what size i go for 15's, 16's or 17's. I think 17's look the best, but i've been told that it makes the handling terrible.

Can anyone post some pictures of their cars, just so i can get an idea of style that will look good on the golf.

i'd say stick with 15s or 16s... IMO 17s look too big on a mk2.

what sort of look are you after?? do you want a wide looking euro car??... track sl*g??

 

Well its stripped out and has bucket seats in the front, so obviously there is a race theme going on. The outside is pretty standard, i have a 2 lamp badgeless grill and smoked rear lights. Its also lowered by approx 30mm front and rear.

I kind of want a race theme, but i don't want 15's as ive got a set of bbs rims of at the mo and they look lost [:^(] (probably because they're black).

 

195/55 x 15 ... not lost !

Never thought of compo's, i'll check them out. How much has your Golf been lowered?

 

it was on coilovers... all i can tell you was the it sat on 15s with 195/50 tyres. iirc on a set of FKs there was about 50ishmm of thread left below the platforms at the front.

i've got another set for my new mk2

i've never come across a set of RH toplines selling, but when i heard about people buying em, they paid a fortune!!!!

really like the designs, love some on my mk2. all those rims look the dogs

 

The workz wheels look very nice. Still not sure on what size to go for, though i think i'm starting to lean towards some 16's.
