mk2 power steering pump

    guys, any of you know if the power steering pump on the mk2 1.6 is same as gti16v?? i`m needing one and found one on ebay. the guy says it will fit but want to check with the experts first??

    yeah they're the same on all except the G60

    Why's the G60 different?
    I've put a standard MK2 1 on my Rallye.....

    iirc its something to do with the outlet on the pump beign a different angle to clear things

    Silly question - how complex is it to add power steering to a car? My mate told me its more trouble than its really worth, just wondering if anyone else has done or attempting to do it

    its pretty straight forward, but fitting rack itself is a pain. subframe needs dropping!

    It is more trouble than it's worth. I'd only do it if the engine is out of the bay.
