mk2 r32 conversions

    hello dubbers

    any ideas of a mk2 r32 conversion cost?

    who on here has done this conversion?

    did a search but no straight forward answers

    i paid 2k for the engine and all running bits and engine loom. Omex ECU will set you back about 1000 and ul need things like exhaust manifolds made coz no1 makes them yet. (storm developments are working on them tho).

    i think a mk3 sub-frame will fit a mk2, so use a vr6 1 and all mk3 vr6 mounts and it'll drop straight in. vr6 gearbox will bolt straight on with vr6 clutch and flywheel.

    Strip as much off the old car as u can to give u a blank canvas to work from, this will make the conversion easier if using standalone.

    just to add, if u want to use the std management, you will need ECU clocks, keys and all the wiring loom. this i would say will double the price. (time to remove from a donor car from scrappy is enormous)

    So its not possible to have the ECU reprogrammed to run without clocks and immobiliser then?

    My 2.8 24v will be on factory management - infact i've got the full ECU wiring diagram infront of me now [:-B]

    pm vrbanana for a contact who can make you a loom to mate the mk4 stuff to the mk2

    should be around 250 ish

    you will also need a box rebuild and peloquin/quaife diff if using the mk3 vr6 box
