On my old one, nothing, I just tied it up out of the way.

On this one, it has the blue pump plugged into it, pumping nothing but fresh air into no where.

It pumps air out of the inlet manifold through the carbon cannister, to get rid of any lingering fuel fumes.

I just dont like having that plug there and i'd rather have it there if its meant to be there, even though the whole engine isnt realy meant to be there i suppose.

Has anyone got a pic of it?

And i've found the red paint i did the vr6 bit with so i can finish it off now.

just cut the plug off! problem solved.

presumably the pump just gets rid of the breather fumes u've got that great big hose in for.

Its not a pump - its an electric valve. Evap Solenoid.

The manifold provides the suction to draw the fumes from the fuel tank through this valve. The ECU turns this valve on and off rapidly when the engine is up to temp. You can hear it chattering/clicking when on.
