Hey guys I have noticed recently that if Im driving and put the gas down in 3rd or sometimes 5th it will occasionaly "cough" what I mean is the revs will suddenly drop and then it comes back to life usually from 3k to 2 or 1 1/2 then it carrys on? on one occasion the rev needle start going crazy and the car juddered to a halt, a few minutes sittng there and it carried on? Any ideas of what I can test/look for? Thanks
nutty rev counter sounds like hall sensor in the dizzy is about to die, or possibly crank sensor, what year is it?
