MK3 8V Gearbox question

    My mate has just bought a 96 mk3 8v gti and wants to know where to locate the gearbox oil plug????

    its in the haynes manual - I'll check tonight and post back...got to sort mine out anyhow...

    Drain plug is on the very bottom of the housing by the diff, the filling plug is on the far left hand side and can be seen through the passenger side wheel arch, below the green cap with 'VW' on.
