Is there anyone who can help???? I need to find out if there is any difference between the european and american spec for the mk3 gti 8v engine!! please help.
I know the European 2.0 8v engine codes were 2E ADY AGG and the US one was the ABA The US 2.0 was a crossflow head unlike the European 2.0. The Europeans weren't crossflow until the New Beetle and Mk4 Golf. Also i believe the US engine made a little less power than the European one, maybe 5bhp less but i have seen different quotes for the BHP of the US engine so that maybe irrelavant. Not sure if there is anything else.
All it was is I'm thinkin of gettin a bbm supercharger kit and I've contacted them and they said it would fit but then asked if engine was same as US! many thanks for the replies!
I've been in contact with bbm again and have sent pics of my engine block, they said they will try and sort somethin out!
