Hi everyone I need to find out the part number for the starter motor on my mk3 golf 16v and also can you use the mk2 golf starter motor on the mk3??? Much appreciated for any replies or advice Cheers Roo
mk2 starter wont fit unless its a G60 one, and even then its got the wrong plug on it. corrado 4 cylinder ones also fit but again most have spade terminals rather than the nice socket the mk3 has. you can use a mk3 tdi starter as well as abf, plus mk4 golf 5 cylinder fit fine too quite a few suitable part numbers, easier to get a number and check if it fits sometimes rather than list everything heres one for a decent price on the bay of e anyway: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264545897705
