I'm looking in to getting my dad a new car and thought about a mk3 golf tdi estate. I've got no experience when it comes to the mk3 diesels. What would i be looking for? When the clutch has to be changed and timing belt? The mpg on one just running round town?
gl tdi's use the 90bhp engine which is not bad for performance and gets good mpg, should go on for mile and miles. Might be worth just going for a passat as they are just as cheap and are better looking?? There is no real mileage ever given for clutch's I don't think? Timing belt will be every 80k miles I think, if its the same as the passat estate I had
