There wasn't a standard alarm as such, but a lot of them came with the VW branded 'Logic' range, which I understand are Scorpion. Does it have two LED's on the dash - one yellow and one red?

If it is, your remote remote will look like this:

Cheers for the response guys. Would it be stamped or written anywhere on the actual car?

Mr Ben - It only has one LED on the dash (red) and the remote only has one button (below):

That is a "fixed code" remote from a Scorpion alarm system, model 915.
This is according to Electrosystems who have taken on the work from
Scorpion since they disappeared earlier this year.

I picked up two of those remotes and a box of bits for that alarm at
Inters, hoping that I could get them recoded for the Scorpion alarm on
my '94 Vento. I sent them off together with my alarm control unit but
they cannot be recoded as my alarm system uses a "rolling code" and is
model 918 (998VAG153 on the control unit under the dash behind
glovebox). Remotes for this have two buttons and a slider on the side
to toggle the unltrasonics. I'm still looking for a remote or two for
    my alarm.

    MrBen & Others,

I have the same alarm as the one you show/explain. Is it still possible to buy the additional modules, I'm after the closing windows and sunroof module when arming.
Anyone?? I can't seem to find anything in ETKA too

I have been told by the guy at Electrosystems that my 918 system has
the closing windows feature, but I'm not sure about the 915 (as per my
post above). I'm expecting a reprogrammed remote from them today so
I'll let you know if it works later on. I also intend to put up some
more information about Electrosystems when I get home from work.

    I have the 915

& yes it does operate the opening & closing of the windows.. If you hold the key in the unlock position it will open all the windows, & if you hold the key in the lock position it will close them.. I know that when the fob works it will close open windows & Sunroof, but I don't know how to use the key fob to open them.. I am still looking for a manual to do that myself..[:x]
