Hey everyone, I have an AGG in my campervan and yesterday it just cut out mid journey. I suspect the coil and have the following resistances from the coil pins to the king lead to distributor pin. I had a spare second hand one but not sure of its condition and that did not work either: Coil 1 (one that had installed) Terminal 1: 2.91k Terminal 2: 3.97k Terminal 3: 11.33k Coil 2 Terminal 1: 2.93k Terminal 2: 3.98k Terminal 3: 5.31k The engine does not even try to fire up. It cranks and there is fuel but just wont even attempt to fire up. I have ordered another coil hoping that is the issue but wondered if anyone sees issues with the resistances above? Thanks
would be top of my list too, get vagcom and plug it in then you can read the engine speed measuring block. if it doesnt go up while cranking then its the crank sensor
The only thing that's ever halted* my AGG-engined Variant, either. I suppose Vw will have to think of another identifier for an estate/station wagon now * After a few warning twinges, when it finally went a diagnostic scanner produced a code "Crank sensor intermittent". Though it's actually the very similar ADY engine, btw
