Hello, my name is Samuel, and this is where I want share story about my MK3 GTI 8V. Hope happy ending.
I bought it like this: OEM MK3 GTI 2.0 8V, Bilestein Nordschliefe, Contipremium R15. Now it has new paintjob ( alpine white instead original candy white ), BBS R16" ( not sure about type of them ). My plan is to build car for hillclimb, or mountin pass racing/driving, maybe "car slalom" (not sure it spells like this ). I dont want to make more power, bcs i know how hard is to build fast NA 8V, but want car better, some brake stuff, suspension, struts, maybe get it caged. I would be happy for every advice from guys who build something fast.
This photo was about 1-2 moths after I bought it, I was cleaning it so often in this garage - I worked in so why not?
Now it is in my friends garage, he is ( I hope ) working on my winring harness - passenger indicators staying on, I checked what I could, but I do not found fault so I bring it to him, i fully trust him, had soooo awesome garage and working on realy expensive cars too. Then I need to boy new tyres, cause my 195/45R16 are bad, I would go 205/45, it could be enough. Next I need to find some good tail lights, allready got 2 pairs and both are leaking. :/ And oem orange blinkers, and get the GTI grill painted - last thing that need new paint. Hope I get it on road so fast, I miss it, and I sold my daily POLO 86C COUPE GT, so Im kinda hurry, cause I need car.
This is where my GTI is now. Sorry guys, but I have old photos, with old Candy White. I will do proper photo with new "box fresh" Alpine White ASAP!!!, I promise.
