    i have a mk3 L-reg 3dr both front windows are electric and very slow up and down

    slower going up tho,[:x] my concern is one day they just stop [:^(]

    -wot is the best way to lube these up? coz they are tight
    -i tried lubing up the motor in situ couple a months ago is there a better way without removing
    -in the haynes manual says it could be the regulator,WOT IS THE REGULATOR?????

    Silicon lubricant in the window channels would be your best bet. Take the door cards off and do inside the doors as well as the easy bit. Halfords sell cans of it, and I'm sure there are others you can buy.

    Regulator = the electric motor.

    regulator = motor and the whole wire frame that holds the cables that regulate the window up and down

    i recon its the casette of cables thats coming apart.
