    All,
Yesterday on the M-way my mk4 suddenly lost power with a kick, (more agresively than letting the throttle off). The engine warning light came on. Then the power came back in after 2 secs or so and the engine light went out[:s] It's run fine ever since.

    Any ideas? There's no fault code stored[:x] [:x] [:x]

    What id you do?

If the engine light came on then there will be a code? may have been deleted tho if the engine had been started a few times since...

Serviced the whole electrical system. I haven't got time to find the fault. I just started with the mk3 suspect list and added anything i found on the way, like dry solder joints in the (complex:o) fuel pump relay.

Not necessarily. The light is on every time you start the car.

No - if the light came on while driving then a fault code is stored... unless it lost poswer completly I supose then bump started itself?

worth changig the FP relay is suspect tbh along with the ECU one
