    Hi,

just wondering if anyone has completed a 4x4 conversion on a mk4 estate? I know people have on the mk2 etc with Corrado tunnels etc. How hard would it be on a mk4 estate? Would you require a new tunnel chopping in and would any of the TT or other 4 wheel drive setups of the era fit easily enough?

    thanks

My guess is you’ll need a boot floor, I’d assume tunnel. Then your usual running gear etc

Not a bad shout although I’d hoped to add a Bora front end to the golf as I think it looks factory and an estate VW could/should have made. Since posting I have read that they made and sold 4 motion estates in Europe. Unsure of the best place to find one though and the hassle of importing.
