MK4 Front on mk3 golf ...

    Hello there again....just wana pick anyones brains???
    i have seen it done ..but not very often at all??.....

    mk4 front end on mk3 golf ......

    i have got the oportunity to purchase a full mk4 front end from a year 2000 golf convertible --eg-MK3 body with mk4 parts that made to fit .....

    im guessing i would need

    FRONT BUMPER--BOTH FRONT WINGS--LIGHTS

    but would i need slam panel ??...or full front unit eg--fans and all bits ??...
    anyone know of someone who has done this please or can anyone put me in touch with someone who can help

    I believe you need the slam panel and also the bonnet. Was the MK4 cab in question the one that was advertised on eBay for breaking?

    Don't do it Ant. If you want a mk4, buy one! The mk4 front just doesn't suit the shape of the mk3 IMHO!

    i think you'd prob need absolutely everything....slam panel, rad, and all.

    I think it would look cool, especially if you were able to stick an R32 bumper on it!!

    imo its shortened so r32 front wont fit??

    i thought about this too like if my local scrappy had a cabrio in

    nah, i reckon the bumpers are normal mkIV ones

    the kit is modified on a mk3 body ..smaller version of mk4 panels arent the same...dont think

    its gonna be a mamoth job though plus cost and time ...think im gonna pass and stick with vento front end for now anyway ....

    does look well phone impact repair centre in brighouse talk to richard he did the one you've got pic of as far as i'm aware is bit of a dog cos bottoms of front wings need extending and stuff think you need landing panel and everything then you gotta think about sides and rear because side mouldings don't match front bumper and then you need a mk4 style rear bumper eg eurotek cult society style or R&A mattig mk4 style gets expensive then m3 mirrors or jap spec cab ones so it carries theme through or just buy a mk4 1.8t less hassle lol :)
