MK4 Golf 2pin Expansion Tank plug part number please

    Could anybody with a mk4 Golf/Bora/etc, or someone who knows exactly which plug it is on ETKA (there's thousands listed), please give me the part number from their 2-pin expansion tank level sender plug. Ta

    this is what i used for the conversion. shamelessly taken from the corrado forum

    Expansion Tank - 1JO 121 403B - 9.32 ex VAT - 10.72

    Expansion Tank Cap - 1JO 121 321B - 5.83 ex VAT - 6.70

    Coolant Level Sender Plug - 1JO 973 202 - 4.08 ex VAT - 4.69

    the expansion tank has to be vw's biggest bargain. perfect for mk2 conversions

    wots the benifits of this conversion ? i was looking into getting a new one as mine is skank

    No benefit whatsoever afaic, if anyting just more ball-ache, so stick with your mk2 one, as mk4 tank will not fit properly in your mk2 bracket unless you mess about...I've ran everything on my mk4 engine conversion as it comes from the mk4 Golf, inc airbox, and I had to relocate my tank to the mk4 OS location, so did it with OEM mk4 bits. I'd have bought a new mk2 tank with hindsight, and put it where I've relocated the mk4 one. The two pin plugs differ from the mk2/3 and I was using two spade connectors as a temp measure and wanted the original plug, that's the reason for the thread.

    the mk4 item is around 15 fitted with discount. the mk2 item alone is 40 iirc.
    a little clever bending of tghe mk2 bracket, and it fits no probs

    also cap is better design, it clicks when tightend like a fuel cap iirc?
