Today i tried to start the car but after several attempts of warming up the glow plugs it just goes very weak and clicks and at one point all the dashboard lights restarted the clock set to 0. It even smelled burned from the starter area.

I tested the starter and the solenoid like it's shown in this video (it's already skipped to the right part):
And I don't really understand if the solenoid is bad or both or just the starter. From the sounds and looks of it seems like both but I don't know.

This is first video where I test the solenoid:

And this is the second link where I test the starter motor:

I tested it with multi-meter and was above 12V.
How can I know it's bad?

Can my problems be happening just form a bad battery?

Yes. Check the voltage on the battery while cranking.

    It couldn't crank anymore.

But today I fixed it!!! Battery and terminals were fine. Turns out it was the same problem as a year ago.
A year ago I couldn't start my car because the thick wire which connects the solenoid with the starter was barely connected/ripped/chewed.
And I replaced it with a thick wire I found, used some washers and soldered the ends.
And I think with time and heat the solder ate away.

Today I replaced with a piece of same wire but instead of soldering I welded a bit.
Will eventually buy the brushes+wire set, because my brushes are almost worn out and it comes with the wire attached

And here's a picture of the wire replaced. Looks janky but works

problem with solder is its brittle, so VW only recommend crimped connections

It also melts when cranking over, the wires do get hot !
