well, apparantly mkIII interiors fit straight into mkII's. and mkIV interiors fit into mkIII's with slight modifications (mkIII frames put onto the front seats and the rear sgo straight in but look odd), so it must be possible.

I'll try and get some pics of my mate's but he's only done 1 seat and he did it the hard way, ie: New mk4 seat runners welded to floor of mk2.

I'm sure there must be an easy way to do it.

well if i take the sub frames off the mk4 seat and put my mk2 subframes on that would fit

or do i have to get a mk3 subframe. modify it then bolt that on a mk4 seat to get it to fit

hmmmm. might just have to whip the recaros out my mums mk4 and have a play around...

think you have to weld the mkII or mkIII frames to the seat..it's not bolt off-bolt on unfortunatly!

Can be done but I would imagine a lot of work. Possibly be able to put the front seats onto Corrado subframes?
I've seen a European Mk2 with full Mk4 leather recaros inc rear seats with the 3 headrests!!....

Speak to MJ Interiors, I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that they have converted the Mk4 Recaros into a mk2. Let me know how you get on, the recaros from my turbo would sweet in my G40, but think the G40 seats may look a bit pish in the GTI

Have you had any luck with this?

Im in the same boat, i've just been offered a mint Mk4 Recaro interior for my Mk2. Just wondering if its worth the hastle or would I be better off selling it and buying a Corrado interior which would be easier to fit.

Id be looking to fit front and rear seats in both cases, what do you reckon?
