MK4 Mixing GAZ with OIL

    Hello Everybody

    i have a weird problem on Jetta MK4 2.0 GLS where the oil level is increasing frequently and have gaz smell.after checking up on vag no errors found but it is abvious the gaz smell with oil.first step at the garage they requested to replace the injectors ,we have replaced but still facing same problem.now they are requesting to change ECU.before do it anybody have any suggestion ?

    Have you tested coolant temp sender. It could be showing cold which would cause excess fuel to be dumped.

    wants sorting, tje oil will be too thin and could ruin the engine.

    I'd not go back to that garage if I was you
    With this kind of thing always start cheap tshrt2k hit it no the head
    The coolant temp sender is the first thing they should of changed not the injectors
    As collie said get the oil and filter changed quick

    This is all basic stuff they should of been able to test the sender in vag com or with what ever they use against one of other ones
    It's not impossible to be the ECU but very unlikely

    Hey Guys

    if it was the coolant temp sensor ,should it gives any failure on vag-com or service engine will appear?
    i have no errors thats the problem
    your right the oil is becoming too thin so i change it directly but now it is increasing too fast
    is there a way to check that sensor appart?

    Hello Everybody

    this is to inform you that i have changed the sparks ,sparks plugs as well the coolant temp sensor .i have changed the oil and filter ,will test it for couple of days in order to check the result

    hey guys tshirt2k was right it was the coolant temp, the day i have replaced the problem was solved thanks a lot

    i have a bad news after 3 weeks now i noticed that the oil has been increasing again so it seems it worked for 2 weeks and now back again to same problem any suggestion ?
