mk5 electric steering- why oh why?

    Got a mk5 golf on loan for the weekend
    handlings very good and performance isnt bad at all given its only a 1.6 fsi cooking model

    But what were vw doing spending millions developing that electric steering? its total crap! slow to react and you cant feel a thing it ruins the car! hopeless

    technology for techologies sake! [:^(] [:^(]

    Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) is the reason they did it mate. It's the buzz word in the motor trade at the moment. It's quieter in the car due to using electric steering [:-B]
