mk5 gti boost guage question

    where do i plumb the hose in ?

    By the petrol pump
    Might not help you much, but on my car the boost gauge pipe was tapped into a plastic section of one of the hoses that comes after the turbo but before the intercooler if that makes sense.

    i think it T's into the fuel pressure regulator which is under the inlet manifold.

    check on cupra.net forum, they'll know for sure!

    FPG = Fuel pressure regulator!

    anyone have any more ideas ? the above ones are not right but thanks anyway :)

    Martin. there must be a vacumn connection from the inlet manifold.. somewhere... that's all it needs!

    yep but they are too big mate these tfsi lumps are loads diffrent to a 1.8t . amd say it can't be done and these just use vag.com . nice of awesome to sell me something i can't use

    think i now have it sorted but have to find a t piece that is approx 1/2" dia anyone know where to find one ?

    well after a trip to a scrappy it now works ! using a bodge from mondeo and laguna bits ! whos says it can't be done !

    ideally the hose would go on the intake manifold, a lot of cars have a spare nipple

    not on a mk5 mate thats why it has been such a pain , if it was simple i would not have posted up on here asking

    ive seen some people go as far as to weld one in (on the TDI engines) any chance of a pic of your intake manifold?

    this sounds worrying considering tdi guages measure boost, not vaccum![:s]
