Might not help you much, but on my car the boost gauge pipe was tapped into a plastic section of one of the hoses that comes after the turbo but before the intercooler if that makes sense.
the guage has tobe plumbed into a vaccume line - thats what it reads traditionall, many plumb it into either the FPG hose or the dumpvalve hose. cant imagine the mk5s much diff to mk4 : http://home.caribsurf.com/chrysalis/boost_tips.htm
i think it T's into the fuel pressure regulator which is under the inlet manifold. check on cupra.net forum, they'll know for sure!
Martin. there must be a vacumn connection from the inlet manifold.. somewhere... that's all it needs!
yep but they are too big mate these tfsi lumps are loads diffrent to a 1.8t . amd say it can't be done and these just use vag.com . nice of awesome to sell me something i can't use
think i now have it sorted but have to find a t piece that is approx 1/2" dia anyone know where to find one ?
well after a trip to a scrappy it now works ! using a bodge from mondeo and laguna bits ! whos says it can't be done !
not on a mk5 mate thats why it has been such a pain , if it was simple i would not have posted up on here asking
ive seen some people go as far as to weld one in (on the TDI engines) any chance of a pic of your intake manifold?
