    Hi all and happy christmas!

Attempted to replace the cam follower on my Mk5 today but I appear to have a different pump setup to the guide I was following (think its because mine is an earlier 2005 AXX code).

I have the two metal pipes and banjo fitting on the HPFP rather than the rubber connector style. I also don't have a bleed nipple to release the pressure before removal.

Anyone know how the banjo fixing is removed and any additional tips? Is it necessary to depressurise the system before removal?

    Thanks

Here's the bugger on the left:

Thanks Beetie, thats the exact guide I was following but I think thats for a later car, not the earlier banjo style like mine. I don't have that pressure release valve either.

Yeah? I'll see if any torx bits fit, it's impossible to see under there clearly.

A tip if you have something like that, where you can`t see.

Hold your phone underneath and take loads of photos (on your phone) with the lens under the fitting. Usually, one of the photos will show you want you can`t see any other way
