    Just a quick one,

There's a MK5 GTi Turbo engine forsale that ive got my eye on....
Would it be a straight forward swap into a MK4? Mount's and all that in the same place?
Or would i just be better off gettin myself the 20vT out of a MK4?

    Cheers,

    Mike

the mounts are the same, as gearbox's providing it's i6 speed -so drive shaft should be OK - worth pinching mk5 ones for sure

I do know a professional tuner / converter that recently done same one, took him a while and went though loads of ECU's to get it running - worth noting

    I'm assuming you already have a Mk4, and it's not got a 1.8t in?
If so, you'd be better off selling that, and getting a GTi with the 1.8t in already.

Then you don't have to do an engine swap, which will cost more than buying a GTi, and you won't have insurance headaches, etc, etc, etc.

Also, if you want to drop the FSi engine in, you will have a much better base.
