Seen a few of these on the roads now and they are growing on me a bit. From the front they look ok and the side is their most flattering angle, definitely some 'Golf-ness' there. Something isn't right at the back though IMHO, it looks 'squeezed' around the rear window as if it's about to pop back out into a mk4 shape. Haven't seen a 3-door yet though, and 5-doors always looks a bit naff in hatchbacks.... Apparently the diesel is the big seller Cheers, Drew.
I know what you mean about the back of them Drew. I think it's that the angle of the rear hatch, to me it is far too steep. If you look at this piccy you can see how over the years, the rear hatch has become more upright. This for me is the thing that VW have been getting wrong on the Golf, since the mk3. Just my opinion.
