How many different models of MK5 golf TDI's do you get?

I'm getting a new company car and I'd like to know what different specs, power figures there is?

Don't want anything too sluggish!! [:s]

    Thanks

    Dave

I know a guy with a mapped 105PS and he claims 160bhp after the remap. I'd take the figures given by mapping companies with a pinch of salt though.

It probably will be, don't think they'd get me a 140PS if they can save a bit of cash.

I'll get the list in the next few days but I know VW's are on there, another guy just got a new Jetta don't know how much power it has.

Fancy a golf rather thatn a jetta i think though?!?! [:s]

id say a huge pinch of salt

the only way that would work is to presuppose the 105 is a detuned 140 spec for spec - which is very unlikely.

The 1.9 engine is the same 1.9 td 8v engine that was used in the early 105 spec gttdi MK4.

The new 2.0 td is a 16v and much smoother to drive and of course more revy allowing for better overtaking ;)

Hmmm...food for thought! If i'm getting any of the above either the Jetta or the Golf then I'm gonna be getting it remapped just for a little bit more fun going to meetings! :p

105 is an old 1.9 8v engine AFAIK, SEAT did have a 160bhp 1.9TDI cupra diesel though didn't they? Different turbo and intercooler etc. I'd imagine from the 105's and 130's, possibly very similar to the 150 TDI golf IV engine. I'm sure I've seen a race prepped 1.9TDI golf IV with 200bhp too.

yep, cupra tdi was a 150 PD diesel(akaik) tuned up anoth 10hp

but i cant see a mk5 having that engine/spec, and then tuning it all the way down to 105.

yeah, theres plenty of tuned up mk4 dervs - Allard race them with stupid o'horsepower.
