mk6 air intake

    has anyone tried the piper cross air intake pipe for the tfsi?

    any noticeable difference without a re map?

    Not having had any experience with the Mk6 Gti, but as 90% found with the Mk5 the standard box and a decent high flow filter element is the preffered choice.. Better heat protection which is the key, and the box itself not be very restrictive at all..

    VW spent a lot of money develpoing parts like airboxes and induction systems. Putting a generic foam 'induction' kit wouldnt be my first choice of mod..

    On my previous car (Clio 197) induction kits etc lost power. A panel filter gained a cople of bhp


    The pipercross thing I queried is just a replacement pipe which goes to the OE airbox which is meant to flow better than the standard one.
