    Let me get this right.

They're bringing forwards the mk6 because of production costs of the mk5.
What does that say about the mk6's quality?
Why would I buy (If I could) a mk6 instead of a fully loaded end of line mk5?

I'm not sure about that. The back end looks like the Tourag and doesn't fit in with the rest of the car. The front end looks okay, like the new Scirocco, and the 3 door looks nice side on, except from the front arch onwards looks really weird.

    Profile - nice
    Front - nice
    Wheels - nice
    Interior - nice
    Rear - Cack!

I'll stick to the Lupo and mk1 thanks.

I saw one at the dealers today - they look really smart in the flesh. Apart from that and the current GTI everything else is a bit pants.

edit; I wouldn't say no to a GT TDI 170 for work...

Saw a Passat CC yesterday, very smart looking car, the wheels were too small though.

Personally I think VW have lost the plot.

Jetta looks like a Passat which looks like an Eos which looks like a Golf which looks like a Polo...

At least the Audis, Skodas and SEATs have retained a little degree of individuality.

I like it, basically the same as the MkV with a Scirocco front end.

Apparently cabin build quality is much improved with the latest revision.

And for anyone calling it a MkVI, well its not really is it. Its just a MkV.5.

Oh, please. Pass me the shotgun. Boring, boring, boring. Just like touring round Norfolk, or somewhere, except Norwich is surprisingly nice (after all the rumours).

I'm not going to be buying one. Did anyone read JC's review about the Jetta?.
Although I don't agree with him about various things, that's one thing I will settle on and I think the MK6 will fall into the same category, sadly.

So much more to spend yer money on...

No, because as you know it had a completely different chassis.

This revision has been on the cards for 2 years. Its just a refreshen up to bring it inline with the new corporate front end on the cars, Audi always do it. The Polo which has already been announced and pictures shown is also similar in design to the Scirocco.
