Who do I talk to sensibly about getting some insurance for mods?

Im up for renewal and ive got a pile of bits in the garage I want to fit, koni/eibach, grooved disks K&N air filter and a Gti Starchip. nothing very radical. I know Ive got to pay more I dont mind I just want some service!

Been trying to get some cover, been on the phone an hour and being P***ed about something rotten by companies who say they offer insurance for modded cars but dont seem to know the first thing about it

Id dont recall mentioning a V8 transplant but I might as well have done ARGGGH! ( sorry rant over it so bloody frustrating)

where do people go for insurance for their modified cars

Who can I talk to sensibly ?

tried Adrian S flux not "helpfull" at all!

    anyone else? HEELLP! [:^(]

Usually Brentacre or HIC are best for modded GTI's.

I'm up in Aberdeen and was with Brentacre last year and they were putting it up, was 525. Then I tried these guy's and I'm 340 with protection of my FNCB.
they said that the add on's weren't realy performance parts, sweet ;) so long as everything is listed and i'm covered!

You just reminded me to phone and get a quote from my current insurers, greenlight, on the VR6 Rallye to add the planned 350bhp turbo conversion to the policy <gulp> [:s]...

313 adjustment! [:D] Policy has about 8 months left to run, I was expecting it to be worse than that tbh! I'm a happy bunny!
