Hi all I’ve bought a mk4 1.8t mot fail as a donor car for next project Along with the rotted out body there was a couple of engine issues Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what they maybe and if there worth sorting whilst it’s in the car The engine will be rebuilt top to bottom so issues may go away by themselves These are- Engine MIL inoperative or indicates a malfunction (8.2.1.2 (h) Supplementary restraint system warning lamp indicates a fault (7.1.6 (a) On a separate note would it be a good idea to get software for this build, never done a 1.8t mk2 swap before- any recommendations thank you
None of them are relevant to your swap but they’ve obviously taken the EML bulb out as it was on, which now fails an MOT, so id scan it and see what codes are being thrown up
