by good, i mean, they are not going to try and make money from me (ripped off), a garage that will look after my golf and not come back to me with dents or scratches, i take my golf to VW for a heath check so I know what needs doing

Go to aries by TBI. When I lived in West Bridgford that guy was a VW god.

Dont mention I recomended you though...I probably still owe him some money:lol:

Actually now I think about it, a place I also used to use was right by City ground. Next door but one to the supporters club. A little garage next door to a car sales place. Doesnt look much but he knows his stuff, fairly old guy who knows his Golfs and cossies and stuff.

Hmmmm this sounds interesting. After my last MOT and use of garages in and around Beeston (Notts) I am beginning to doubt all garages and mechanics. I need to find a really good place to take the VR for the odd job and MOT. I'll give them a go soon ! Thanks for the heads up ! (p.s. I have tried C&R).

All my cars and my family cars go to one garage, Ill dig out the place name for you. they always seem to do a good job with out costing the earth or trying to take you for a ride.

my esate is off there in the next week or so too,

The Peugeot garage on Pentagon Island in derby is good. (i should know as i work there  ) Only charge 19.99 for an MOT too.

or Trentside Garage off Little Tennis Street in Colwick behind A-plant. They are good as i used to take my car to them. Think its about 35 there.

    Sheppards wood service station
    Bracerbridge drive
    Bilborough
    Notts
    NG8 4PL

My cars got to a mate of my grandads whos a mechanic who gives them a once ove just incase Ive missed anything (I havent yet....but theres time) and then he takes it off for the MOT for me, Ive never had a problem yet.
