Chatting to romaingirardlamamy at the London Rolling Road day on Sunday, it's staggering who you come across and how much knowledge certain people have on here. Oettinger is a real interest of this, but he mentioned this company again, Motogema. Apparently they're a group of people who split off from Oettinger and took a few ideas with them. How far they got and what they did - I've no idea. Another chance for an exploratory delve into VW engine / motorsport history? Seen so far: The name cropped up on the cam covers of this Berg Polo when I visited Eschdorf in 2009: Then the conversation continued: I've no doubt the thread will sit here and gather more information over time...
Some Googling: http://www.hotfrog.de/Firmen/Motogema-Fahrzeugbauteile-Co-KG http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthre...se-have-any-oettinger-(motogema)-racing-stuff
Yeah the head is really different from the oettinger one But might be of same principal Curious to know the valves angles and sizes tho However I eared that the motogema cam cover is a straight fit on the oettinger head with the extras hole for the distributor
That video was made at SLS tuning in Germany. Did some research about good German tuners a few years ago, and that name popped up a lot. Used to be an awesome tuner, but have heard some bad things about them the last year or so. Might want to email them and see if they can tell you anything about the engine in the vid. Bet they know more about it, since it was dynoed and prolly also built there.
Nice find sherlock Eyre So now did motogema went out at the same time as oettinger??? I explain myself when gerard oettinger past away Everything went kind off side way And an american company bought oettinger And tried to get ride off everything who's been done 16 valves head ,engine kit They were only selling tuning poops Wheels, ship, and body kit Did motogema carried on as I eared or did they close?
