Yes, if I can agree a low enough price then my mate from the body shop is going to take me down for the car. I'm borrowing my dads fiesta TD which does 60mpg so if its worse than expected it wont cost too much to get home. I was going to go on the train at first but then if I dont take the car i'd have been stuck in kent.

This high mileage LPG converted one has just appeared on autotrader, the price is right but 133,000 miles is a bit high me thinks.

Opinions? BTW its 204 miles from my house. Do northern people not buy Alhambras??

And then theres this Its a lesser model than i'm after but does have the privacy glass the re con turbo puts me off as does the new engine. If its been fitted at the main dealers it should be good. Its been on e-bay before and not sold, plus the seller wont tell me the reserve (I hate that)

Northern people buy proper cars, not w4nky overpriced minibuses. You should be ashamed of yourself ;)

It probably had an accident while it was a taxi. They're all taxis!

Bloke down the end of my road would give you an advisory for that - needless to say my cars go to him for MOT's

Well my mate at the garage spoke to him today.

The problem is one side (front left) sits higher than the front right.

What could this be? A mismatch of shock/spring from one side to another?

    Could it be something worse?

I'm now thinking of trying to knock him down 500 and getting suspension with the saving.

Any signs of accident repairs? Go and look at a few to learn what they should look like, and how high they could sit.

It could be anything from a bent wishbone, a sagging (or wrong) spring or duff top mount, to a twisted shell.

It will be if they're built in the same factory - dunno if they are, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I think they are all made in Portugal on the same production line. The galaxy says its a 'Zetec TDI'

they are all built at the same place.... plus the parts that are exactly the same are cheaper from ford than seat/vw........

may lose a bit of resale value but not a lot - most people know they are the same....

mileage means nothing. a shi**er is a shi**er regardless of how many miles it has done

i wouldnt suffer having a wonky car just because it had a smaller number on the speedo.

    go find another :p

The TDI uses the VW engine with the 6 speed box. Old boss had a TDI 130.
