I can't see the pictures for some reason-- but by your name are you from the Warwick area?

If so, is the car Helios blue? Used to have creamy leather interior? (started life as a special edition 16valver)

If so i new the kid that owned that car originally. It was the first ever mk2 VR i got to drive

Thats the one, solihull area, as i'm close to Solihull myself (Dorridge)-- i still can't see the pictures for some reason. The kid that got it converted is called Chris-- like you said Midland VW did the conversion a few yrs ago now.

As for how many i have driven. I used to own one myself

local or in the uk.

Locally-- within around 20-30miles of me theres probably around 10-20ish.
Loads due to Midland Vw and stealth racing being fairly close to us
