my first car - mk2 1.6 driver

been meaning to post some pics up for months but only just found a free place to host the photos - cheers photobucket anyway, this is my first car (been driving since september) and hence my first golf. bought it end of 2002 when i was 16 and reworked the whole car -new brakes, clutch, suspension etc.

since then ive added the front grill, alloys and ice, but on a 40 a week students budget modding can take time!

Smooth the back panel, and get rid of the gti badge as it isn't. Have you lowered it? And what exhaust is it, it looks similar to mine.

yeah, i hate having the gti badge on there, but i just need to get some time to fill the holes itll leave when its off. wanna get hold of a 1.6 badge off a mk4

its dropped 40mm on kayaba shocks and springs

i think i've cracked it he's some pics of mine

i should be getting it lowered next week 60mm and should be getting some G60 arches for it aswell next week
(i know its a five door but it was going cheap) hope you like em

mk2 fan - nah, im going with small bumpers for a while just to be different - your ride should look sweet dropped 60mm!

mk2 fan- its a nice clean example what reg? Not to sure about the red door handles tho, go with the crome ones. And possibly spray the front badge black.
But all in all a very nice car
Andy- what are those wheels and how much, they look bloody smart, i want some cheap deep dish five spokes-anyone any ideas

the photos don't do it any justice its a deeper red then that. It's a j reg 1991 model i'm gettin a debadged single headlamp grille very soon so that should tidy things up a bit + it's being lowered 60mm next week, and some time this year i should be getting it re-sprayed in audi's metalic night fire red oh and getting the back doors de-handled and getting it de-badgled at the back in two weeks time
