Just a couple of pics to start with, unsure if I'm gonna keep and take care of her, or potentially sell In the future,

But for an 18 year old car she's quite clean! 2.0L 8v AGG engine with under 80k, rusty rear arches but I got that sorted already! Owned her about a month and have so far

    replaced dipstick tube

Had rotten rear arches chopped out, new ones fabricated and painted in

    New thermostat and temp sensor

Steam cleaned and undersealed front/rear arches and most parts underneath

    Maybe more to come?!

Always good to see another one rescued and not left to rust.

They are a great car to drive and easily modified to make them even better.

Why are you so keen to fit a 4 branch manifold?

I want a stainless system, as mine is rusted, falling apart and everything else, so if I can upgrade it and make it longerlasting, free-er flowing and save a little weight in the mean time, it seems like a good option? Please tell me your thoughts however!

Stock mani if not damaged is fine for sensible mods.

it would save me money not replacing the manifold if it flows well enough.. i want extra horses out of her but i need to be realistic about throwing money at it i guess. can the stock manifolds be ported if i ever did get that far? the next thing il get stuck on is if i should decat it and have all the mot hassle when replacing the rest of the system...

Another small update, timing belt was replaced, 95% of the undercarriage has been sealed. Rear wheel bearings adjusted, rear calipers free'd off and other small rust patches under door and boot seals treated and sealed!

Anything you can do to a 2.0 MK3 Golf to make it quicker also applies to the Seat, they have the same engine.

Suspension is slightly different. Front of the Seat is MK2/MK3 golf, rear is Polo so don't go out and buy a complete set of Golf shocks/springs because you'll only use the fronts.

Great to see another Ibiza mk2 being kept alive. 8v's are clinging on as no one wants to poach the engine like the 16v's

since the last time i posted i have has a set of cupra 20vt wheels refurbed and powdercoated, and ive just gone a purchased a polished and ported cylinder head with a fast road cam, uprated springs and a chipped ECU! just waiting on a postage quote for a stainless exhaust with race cat and i think she'll move a bit quicker!

Been a while since my last post!

    Since then I have:
    Powdercoated mk3 cupra wheels,

Undersealed entire underneath of car and bulk head underneath scuttle,

De-catted with straight through (too loud, need a midsection haha),

Polished and ported throttle body, inlet manifold and cylinder head,

    Fast Road cam,

    De-restricted airbox and got a k&n.

Chucked on some heko wind defletors

And probably more but I've forgotten!

I've got some bits waiting to go on aswell, polybush top mounts front and rear, and some coilovers to match! And an ecu with rev limit raised to 7500! (valve gear will allow for it too)

Next step is engine mounts, possibly a bigger brake upgrade, and I'm very very tempted to supercharge it ????
