    Hi guys,

Bought my mk2 about 5 months ago completely standard. As you can see from the pics I've made a few tasteful mods. (Its going lower this week :p)

    Currently we have:

8v engine completely standard done 102900 miles
    Scorpion mani back stainless exhaust
    FK matt black strut brace
Gaz GHA Coilovers down 110mm all round
    Pedo Bear rear sticker :p
    OEM Headunit and interior!
Toyo Proxies TR1's 195/45/15 all round

    Next on my list is:

Momo 300mm boss and wheel set
    Mk3 VR6 brakes
    BBS RM's 15x7.5
    Pioneer DEh-P88rs-II headunit
Sunk shallow mount sub in wheel well
    Focal Comps up front

    Anyways, hope you like it!

    Mark

It looks a nice tidy one but the numberplate looks **** where it is because of the recess for it on the bumper.

Looks good but agreed on the plate - put it back where it should be;) Do you have any side on pics? Just curious as I'm about to buy the same tyres and wondered how the profile looked

I will never understand the need to move the numberplate from its original position-there is nowhere else on the front that looks better.

It was put there by people who understand design, balance and graphics and also allows the required amount of air into the rad.

    Still, it looks nice otherwise

    Loving the number plate controversy!

I wanna get a US spec front bumper eventually so if you ignore the recess it may look better?

The tyres are toyo proxies TR1's 195/45/15. So far I've had no rub with no archwork [:D] (its down another 25mm from those pics :p)

Eventually I want a BAM Turbo conversion but over the summer I'm tidying the engine bay to make the 8v unit look a bit tidyer.

    Thanks for the replies [:D]

Oh yeah and I've tried EVERYTHING to get the number plate in its original position but the sticky stuff just turned out not to be sticky enough so I ended up making a bracket and putting it there... A fix for now but It'll probly change...

    Pop rivets are lighter!

Quite right, when applied to the Mk2, and a few other cars out there. Don't think that you can say that about every car though? Too many stylists, and not enough designers these days![:s]

I really dont want to drill my pressed plates. I'm seriously heavy handed and gauranteed I'd dent or bend them so much I'd have to buy another... for now I'll keep up the controversy... its entertaining :p or trend setting? haha

If I had rear pics you'd also see the stainless scorpion system. 12 months time It'l be bam'd so maybe that'll fit your definition of "a few tasteful mods"?

loooks gawjuss but numberplate would look better in the standerd place unless youy get smoothed bumpers. other than that looks sweet and reminds me of my red mk2 gti i rote off last year :(.

never mined lol got a black mk2 2.0 8v now and a red mk2 16v witch is totaly standerd and just had a 2200 engine rebuild and the car cost me 2000 when i got it lol so up for sale if any ones intrested also comes with a 5yr or 65.000 mile warrenty.
