I've still got so much to do, but I'm pretty happy with it as it is (thank God I got rid of the old wheels ).

    In my shed I've got:

    Front big bumper
    Rear big bumper
    Side skirts
    GTi Spoiler

And yeah, need a new tax disc holder - that one is terrible. ;)

    Whaddya' reckon?

    So I do...
It's so all the people I overtake know what it was that went past. It's so damn fast that they often can't read the regular VW / Golf badges at such a distance.

U should lower it 40mm, it makes a huge difference to the looks, i just did my 1.6 today. It takes about 2hrs to do the back and about 1 and a half for the front. That was with two people one being quite competent with cars. Springs from euro car parts-64quid inc. vat

Yeah, golf1.6cl - it's certainly on the cards before the summer. Thanks for the heads-up on those springs.

Yeah, Tim - it's certainly on the cards as soon as I can be assed to go outside with a razor-blade and white spirit, which will be about the same time I can get some arches / work up the motivation to get my big bumper kit on. Hopefully before summer. :)

Looks good, all I'd do is lay flat the rear wiper, slam it and fit clear front indicators - they're only about 5 so it'd be rude not to!

Cheers, it's potentially alright I'd agree. Nothing wrong with the bodywork (if you ignore the little dent at the back - people parking behind me, what's the world coming to?). I'm not too sure where I'm going with it, considering THIS is my all-time favorite Golf. I don't think it's realistic that I'll get it there (would cost a fair bit and for a 1.3 is it worth it?) so I might keep this one just looking tidy (i.e. lower it, clean it up a bit, sort wipers etc.) and see where I stand with it there. Next port of call is getting my sound sorted, but that's a whole other Tech. Help topic altogether... ;)

    Ghost and
    golf1.6cl

I really hope you get the tracking and camber set up if you haven't already done so..

If not expect to go through tyres in about 2000 Miles

Always budget 50 for it doing

Yeah its a real problem the tracking and camber as its a bit of guess work when you lower a car. I'm gonna let the springs settle and then perhaps get the camber and tracking done. So why will the tyres only last 2000miles. I think the back is towing in and the front out slightly.

Hehe nope, just fancied leaving the VW badge on the rear plate bur I'm not talented enough to get the numbers out so I just left a couple in. Yeah, still waiting for the replacement - needs to be changed too. :p
